Yes I did here that flash is having a tourney on Dec. 13th in san Jose. I will try and confirm that later today or you can call Juan at 510-825-4905.

does anyone know how many teams are confirmed because if there is 4 teams coming out and the regulars that always show up its not worth comin out. i will throw a practice scrimmage on saturday and have the same teams attend without waking early driving to san jose and paying a fee of 200 dollars. the point here is dirty south, lights out, wreckin crew, 786, collision could play themselves any day of the week which is great competition but i see these teams everytime. i would rather put 100 dollars from each team in a pot then winner takes pot. furthermore if we get teams out there other then the regulars count me in.

Amen Fred no offence to flash but I can call Chris, Omar, John, or Kyle at anytime of the week and play them..... Even for free or for a trophy, personally, I know most of the time two of these four will be in the top seeds anyway, Are we gonna get some new faces that we can see before we play the above teams who are all pretty much family to us anyway.

Al and Fred, you guys are absolutley right!..Thats why I also wrote a letter to the NFL to get rid of the Raiders, The Bengals and The Lions.... I mean whats the point? Charge $70 to watch the Raiders? Its cheaper to buy Madden for X-Box and see the Raiders win..

Cant argue that! I appreciate the fact that flash/cvffl are throwing tourneys but the last few post are 100% correct!!

You have to appreciate the fact that Flash and these other leagues are even throwing a tournament though. We dont have much in the bay area as far as 4 man tournaments go, and these leagues give us something to go out for. Shoot if Fred and Topgun13 thought more positive and put a team out there thats 6 squads!!!!

Actually, Fred and Topgun13 have put a team together and are planning on playing in the flash tournament this Saturday. We have already contacted Juan and advised him 786 will be playing.
Fred makes a good point though, we just hope some more teams show up and make it an exciting tournament!!
The Modesto tournament was a good tournament, we played teams we had never seen before. We hope the Flash tournament displays the same results.
Bottom line, as long as Dirty South/ The State is there, we will be there. We can see as many new teams as we want, but we will always see you guys in the end anyway.

please understand that i am not hating on any tournament or organization of flagfootball. I have actually played for every tournament organization that has been thrown for flagfootball. I personally like to play football. Unfortunately, like dirty south we are not in shape for us to play in competitive, recreational and elite so we can get more games in. My point here is the organizer of the tournaments and teams that come out need to spread the word out so we could have better turnouts which will help him the organizer and the players. Throwing a tournament the week before and knowing that at least 4 teams will show up seems like no effort has been made. The last 2 flash events we played in were 4 to 5 teams comin out and those whom we could play on any day. Yes, 786 will have a team out there this saturday expecting a good turnout. however, if things are the way they are we will save ourselves for better events.

yea I do agree that there is a lack of advertising and getting the word out. When is AFG throwing together a tournament again?
