the refs were good. they had control of the games we played and watched. there were less arguements. they will only get better. when you have ppl you know ref'n the games it makes it easier to get on them and argue with them which ends up killing the game.

i voted no because cost, afghans are hot headed, they were kind of slow. But for playoffs & championship yes so no discretion between teams.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I want to thank all of you who participate in our flag football league. I would also like to bring this to everyones attention about behavior and rules.
I recieved a phone call this morning from H.A.A.R.D ( Hayward Park Authorities) that they have witnessed some behavior that does not have anything to do with the Sports Field. And they have warned us.
* Loud Music in the Parking lot/ Parking cars sideways. ( brothers this isnt a DUB car show ) * Dogs on the synthetic field * Smoking on the field * Using racist and extremely foul language
** AND MOST IMPORTANT: Driving 60mph in the Parking lot.
Please, please be aware, we have friends and families out here watching our games and joining our leagues, we cannot have this continue, if this does AFG Flag Football will lose its Liscense.
If this does continue then I myself will terminate the season.
Thank You so much for your cooperation
I just wanted to post this again because i didnt see it but ur right

We need ref's, but good ones, the ones last night were not sharp at all... missed many calls, especially the tall old guy.....costed us the game due to a few bad calls.

There is no such thing is good outside refs unless you bring in Ex 4 on 4 players that know the rules. The best refs are the currently players that know the rules and have been playing 4 on 4 for a long time. The problem is that everybody wants every call to go for their team and some people will never be satisfied. I think that for the sake of reducing cost, we should stick with afghan refs

well, last night the ref called a safety on a false start which should not have been, we still would have lost to lights out anyways, but the fact of the matter is that they received 2 unearned points and an extra possession. I think it is better to have ex-players ref, they know the rules better, and plus it makes the league more fun because then the afghans will have an excuse for losing. HAHAHAH!

sal the refs were horrible....at least the ones that i saw....i dont mean any disrespect to them, but they were slow at putting the ball into play and also they had to call timeouts to just figure out the rules....refs are a good idea, but that crew was pretty bad so im not sure what you can do, cuz ppl complain about both the afghan refs and it seems like a lot of ppl don't like these refs either....but it's your call....

All refs will make some bad calls, the old player refs and last night refs. I say yes but they really need to learn the rules.

Sal i think the best thing to do would be to pair up the new refs with a player ref. that way when they have questions they can ask the player ref instead of coming to u and delaying the game. also that will let u have 2 refs for each game and everything will go smoother cuz one ref can watch the qb and one ref can watch the other players.

thats a good point from the last comment. I noticed there was only 1 ref watching over each game last night. usually we would have 2. there were some complaints about qb sacks that werent called because the ref was watching the recievers or PI not being called because the ref was watching the quarterback. So pairing up would be perfect. Have 1 man watching the back field and the other watching the recievers.

I think, personally, that we should go back to the regular player refs, as Elmar said youll get some calls that go for you and some that go against you..And Ill let everyone know i paid these refs $360 last night..Its gonna be tough trying to pay this crew, but yet another with them?..I dont think the $200 reg fee can go that far..lol.

Ayfe payset...$360 is a lot of money for the job they did...they called a SAFETY on us before we even got to snap the ball, on a false start, i like the comment that bombs surpass made..pair up the player ref with a cia ref....Sal jaan for gods sake that tall old ref could not even spell R-E-N-E-G-A-D-E-S lol...

Yo Sal lets just keep the refs for playoff games only if it doesnt get too expensive it only makes sense cause you dont want problems at that time ya know!!
